Yesterday was Awana. Those of you who read my blog must know what Awana is. So I will cut to the chase and tell how it was. First of all it started like any normal Awana, shootin hoops, playin Soccer, the usual. I only got to do about a second we just came in. The Pastor yelled "Balls in!" We all did just that. We said our pledges. Here's the Awana one. "I pledge allegiance, to the Awana flag, which stands for the Awana clubs, who's goal is to rech boys and girls, with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve him." Here's the American flag. "I pledge allegiance to the the flag of the United states of America, and to th republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with Liberty and justice for all!" Here's the SONG. "Firmly Awana stands, lead by the Lord's commands, all proved workmen are not ashamed, boys and girls for his service claim, haaail Awana on the march for youth haaail Awana holding forth a truth, buiding lives on the word of God, Awanaaa staands, our savior following, with steps un faultering, and love on aultering his praise we sing, his banner over us, in serviice glorius, we'll fight victorius! For Christ our kiiing! Youth! (Clap clap) On the march! Okay. Announcements, pray, "Okay ladies!" We go to our classes. The sparkies stay in the gymn for game time. Us boys and girls go to our seperate classes. Thank God! We say our verses. Yada yada yada. About 12 mns. Then we go to game time! Yesterday we did Shipreck. (A game.) The gymn master (Mr. Karber) yells out either BLUE, GREEN, RED, YELLOW, ORANGE (Just kidding.) SHIPRECK, MAN OVR BOARD!!! And we run to the line he calls. Shipreck is the colorful middle square. Man over board is the circle outside the square. Soo. He calls say..GREEN for instance. Than you run to green, if you were the last one to get there you OUT! The last person that didn't get out wins! It's as simple as that. A fun game for a lot of people. I usually win. Heh heh. Okay. After shipreck we got a drink of water and back to our classes. That is whe n we have council time. We had a story and a game. We all got cross necklaces for our prize! (The day as the day for our New Years Nudge.) We all had to wear 2009 anywhere we could! If you have the best outfit you win a prize, and I won!! It was only tinker bell pens which I gave away but. I still won on my last year!! After our gam after council time we had awards. I got no stickers cause I finished my book but I did get a candy for doing two sections on my book! A full starburst pack! Tht reminds me..I didn't finish it! Well ttfn!
